Yes, it will be cheaper. Please leave the smoothedge (spike strips) around the perimeter of the room though. They can be very difficult to re-install, especially in time hardened concrete floors. The older smoothedge is often of superior quality with better wood and sharper pins being used.
Sometimes yes, however it can prove to be more cost effective to replace the carpet most times.
Yes there is a 3mm tolerance allowed. Otherwise floor levelling compounds must be used.
To a point, yes. Although we find that around 10mm pile thickness is a good middle ground for value. You can get thicker however the value ratio drops off.
Thinner is also cheaper but may not last the test of time. Although this can be the perfect solution for if you are selling the house as it will look and feel great for several years without over capitalising.
Wool is good for softness. However we feel there are some drawbacks that lead us to not use it as much as nylon and polyester. We find it can be eaten by carpet bugs, it will smell if it gets wet, it's not the best for removing stains and it is expensive to purchase.
We use a wool look carpet that's made of solution dyed nylon, so it doesn't have any of the negative factors.
They are cost effective to produce, they are soft, they are great with stains, they come in a wide variety of colours and they look great.
In most cases we prefer for the furniture to be moved prior to our arrival. Where this is not possible, we are able to move furniture at a rate of around $60-$80 per room depending on what is involved. In many cases we are able to do the job over 2 or 3 days to allow you to move the furniture yourselves. This is especially handy in upstairs situations where it would be very difficult to move everything down the stairs. We begin in the landing area then branch out into the bedrooms afterwards.
No, we just need access to the area. We are happy to lock the door behind us when we are finished the job if no one is home then either.
Yes. There are appropriate manufacturer's warranties in place for each price point of carpet. Lower budget 5 years, mid range 10 years, high range 15-20 years.
There is a lifetime warranty on the installation of the carpet.
If any issues were to arise we would come back to determine the problem. From there appropriate measures would be taken to rectify any problems in a timely fashion. Whether that be a replacement or otherwise.
